"Regarding the "Jailhouse Rail" in particular , this is without a doubt the best pickup I have ever heard! It has all the low end grunt you could ever want, but with a super smooth and creamy high mid response, which frankly blew me away. It tracks my pick strokes perfectly, allowing the sound to vary from super hard thrash metal to great sleazy rock tones without having to adjust the settings on either the guitar or amp. *These pickups are designed to be installed in a single-coil slot. They are actually, very slightly more "square" than a traditional single-coil, therefore, when they installed in a scratchplate, the plate cut-out may require a little "easing" with a round file. (Very easily done!).
