Five unedited reviews from real Jailhouse Rail II owners.

Just fitted a Jailhouse Rail II to my old trusty Charvel and it sounds excellent! The guitar's tone has been enhanced by the addition of this pickup, which sounds as good, if not better, than my other identical guitar which packs high-end well-known branded pickups. Highly recommended!

I just got a set of your pickups and 3 pots for my MIM Strat — 2 x Pig Irons Overwound and 1 x Jailhouse Rail II hotrail for the bridge. OMFG amazing, I can't even begin to explain the sound difference — it's just in another world. The price of these is such a bargain. The only problem I have now is if these are so good, what the hell are the others like?! Guess I will have to try more of the range in my other guitars. Will be buying again soon.

I make custom lap steel guitars and recently fitted a Jailhouse Rail II to one of them. The overall tone and sensitivity was amazing and was a big hit with one of Ireland's top dobro / slide players. I purchased another one a few days ago for a new build — arrived very quickly, in secure packaging and with very clear wiring instructions. I look forward to trying a few more pickups (particularly the Alchemist 90). Unless a customer specifies a different pickup, I will be using IronGear pickups as standard. BELIEVE THE HYPE — these pickups are amazing and priced for everyone!

Rebuilt an old guitar with Jailhouse Rail IIs in the middle and neck (and a Hammer Head in the bridge). These are amazing pickups. Hit so far above their price range. The Jailhouse Rail IIs are beautiful and articulate clean and can be great in low tone or have a nice chime with high tone. No hum or buzz, even on my dirtiest channel. And in high gain they are brilliant. 10/10 will be buying more.

Got the Jailhouse Rail II to replace a railed pickup that cost more than twice the price. What a difference, absolutely brilliant — and goes well with the Seymour Duncan stacks in middle and neck. I reckon I'll be replacing the Duncans with Texas Locos in the near future.
